Flying with the Zehr's

Last week i (kars) had the opportunity to go flying with the Zehrs. Courtney and Beth and their two girls are heading to where i grew up. I met Courtney last year in North Carolina as he was there for pilot orientation and we soon found out we had Spokane in Common. Whenever they're not on deputation somewhere else they spend time in Spokane.

Here's everybody, nice and cozy in a 182

There's enough knobs up front to keep 2 pilots busy/entertained

flying through a mountain pass in Northern Idaho (see the snow?)

How about now?

The girls were happy (mostly :) )

Ann, came up front to show us boys how to fly

Silverwood, ID (roller coasters don't seem to tall from up here)

Cleaning up after a fall in the dirt (thompson falls, MT)

I finally felt like i was flying in and around "real" mountains

Courtesy car (thompson falls, MT) Keys are in the pilots lounge, just fill her back up

The Airplane we had a chance to fly, a nice Cessna 182

I found this flight particularly enjoyable becuase at Moody most flights are very intense. You don't get much of a chance to look outside and enjoy the scenery. If you do, you might find yourself very unprepared for the next "emergency" your instructor throws at you.
