Settling in in Waxhaw,

Well, we're here....we arrived on the 20th of July here in Waxhaw, NC.

Let me back up a little though. Last time we updated, we were arriving in Whitesboro, TX. We spent a few days there mainly visiting a family friend. I saw the house Missy lived in before they left for the mission field. I saw her grandparents house and even had the oppurtunity to meet some of the people from their church. People from the church even had a reception for us, which was very nice. We were overwhelmed by their generosity.
Our next stop was Birmingham, Alabama. Missy's family spent a furlough there one year. So I got to see their old house, school, church etc. We spent the night with some of their old friends and even got to see some of the church members at a chinese restaurant.
From Alabama we headed on home to Waxhaw. It still ended up being an all day trip as we stopped in Atlanta to have lunch with a friend of mine from Moody in Chicago. We arrived in the early evening an quickly found out our cell phones didn't work anywhere close to where we were living.
We were able to rest a little over the weekend. But had a lot to do once the weekend was over. I had to get Drug Tested at JAARS before being allowed to work. We had to find a new bank. get new driver's licenses. Get Missy's name changed on everything including social security cards etc. Since we live about 45 minutes from Charlotte it included quite a bit of driving.
Now three weeks later, things are starting to settle down a little bit. I'm really enjoying working in the Hangar. Learning new things every day. Missy is still searching for a job, she's had several interviews for Nanny positions so hopefully she'll find something soon. We're hoping for a good paying job so we can save for flight school next year.
