Pictures from our flight to langda

We arrived early to get a Sun-rise departure. However the baggage wasn't loaded yet so we had to wait a little while.

As you can see the Pilatus Porter (PC-6), allthough an excellent airplane for flying in rugged terrain, is not a luxury aircraft and doens't have much legroom. Luckily Papuans are much smaller than Westerners. The average Papuan highlander is appoximately 5 foot 3.
We were flying 5 people to Langda. The one with the blue hat is a good chilhood friend of mine.
I got to log 2 hrs of flying time in the PC-6

Missy took this picture over my shoulder as we landed in Langda.
