O's & P's

Right now i'm studying for a test which is bigger than any other test i have ever taken in my life. It is called the Airframe Oral and Practical exam. If i pass this Oral and Practical and later a written test. I will receive a little piece of Paper from the FAA stating that I am a licensed Airframe mechanic. This will enable me to work on just about anything that's not an engine or an engine accesory. It will enable me to work on fuel systems, landing gear systems, electrical systems, Wood Structures, fabric covering and a great deal more.

Needless to say, this Oral and Practical Exam is going to be quite comprehensive. It is estimated to take 8-12 hours of time, depending on the speed and efficiency of the examiner and the student. The examiner will ask oral questions on each system and will often assign a project. There are several levels of projects. Some just require being able to find the correct information in a book. Others just require you to verbally talk your examiner through how you would approach a certain problem. And the hardest are the ones where you have to do the previous two mentioned and also perform the project with your hands.

If you remember, this exam will take place starting around 3PM (Pacific time) on Friday the 17th and go untill 6 that afternoon. It will start back up on the 18th starting at 8AM and finishing whenever I get done.... Please pray for me as I prepare these last few days, and also during the test.
