Holland Pictures Continued

(Uncle Merijn and family)
(With Kars' cousins, Roos and Lotte)

(We visited the small village where Kars' family lived for a year...this picture is in front of their old house, with the school master who is a close family friend)

(The new, beautiful Christian school)

(The school master and his wife)

(The only "store" in their little village, a truck that drives into town)

(Everyone in Holland has a bike..and they use them a lot, even in the rain and cold!)

(Delicious lunch with Opa and Oma Kroneman)
(Showing pictures to Opa and Oma)
(Visiting with Opa and Oma)
(One day we went to visit Hannah and Ruth Wester, who went to school with me in Kenya. They showed us around Deventer, where Hannah lives)

(One of the old churches in Deventer)

(Cannon ball in the side of the church in Deventer)

(The last day we went to Delft and stayed the night with Aunt Clarissa and her family. Uncle Henk showed us around the city in the afternoon before we left for Kenya. This is the "New" Church in Delft...meaning it's from the 1300's!)

(William of Orange is buried in the "New" Church)

(The "Old" Church in Delft...from the 1200's, hard to tell in this picture, but the tower leans quite a bit)

Hey Kars, nice seeing these pictures. I travelled through Deventer every day for three months in 1990 when we lived in Holten and went to seminary in Aperldoorn. Looks like you had a good time in Holland.
