Now we have started flying again. Using the Cessna 206 we've been introduced to Advanced Flying, which in our case emphasizes flying in mountains and onto grass airstrips.
Moody's 2 Cessna 206's (this airplane is one of the most common missionary aviation airplanes around the world)
This sequence of pictures shows my classmate Peter landing at a grass airstrip in the area which requires a unique approach because of the mountain. You can't line up with the runway until you are only a few hundred feet above the ground.
Some runways really are NOT straight. This is Elk City Airport in Idaho

trees line both sides of the runway

An Farm around Spokane with it's own runway. The owners graciously allow Moody to come in and do training on this runway only 10 minutes away from where we are based.

Dust kicking up behind the 206 as it takes off from the Farm Airstrip.

Moody Aviation is preparing us to be missionary pilots. It is truly a blessing to have...
- Airplanes that are actually used on the mission field
- A variety of runways that resemble mission airstrips to practice on.
- Instructors who are or have been missionary pilots overseas
